What to expect
Stars land at size 6 to 9 and wear down one size roughly every 7 minutes while somebody is mining. The Mining level you need is the size × 10 — 90 for a T9, 60 for a T6 — so a star called an hour ago may already have decayed past the point where it is worth the trip, or below the level you can mine at all.
